Specialising in Mental Health, Limerence and Couples Therapy
Mental Health
Mental health is the cornerstone of a fulfilling life, influencing how we think, feel, and engage with the world around us. I specialise in helping clients navigate a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, and emotional dysregulation. My approach is holistic and tailored to your unique needs, combining evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and emotional processing to support lasting change. Whether you’re struggling with persistent worry, feelings of sadness, or difficulty balancing life’s demands, I provide a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences. Together, we work to identify underlying causes, build resilience, and foster emotional wellbeing, empowering you to move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
Limerence and Obsessive Love
Limerence, the experience of intense and obsessive love, is a new and emerging area in psychology. It can involve unrequited feelings or mutual connections complicated by barriers that prevent the relationship from progressing. While many therapists are still unfamiliar with its complexities, I am uniquely positioned to help as an expert in this field and the author of Limerence: The Psychopathology of Loving Too Much, a forthcoming book to be published by Routledge in 2025.

This therapy focuses on understanding the psychological roots of limerence, including attachment dynamics, emotional dependency, and the impact it has on relationships and wellbeing. Together, we explore the origins of these feelings, develop emotional regulation skills, and address the obstacles that may be contributing to the intensity of the experience. Through evidence-based techniques and compassionate guidance, I help clients break free from unhealthy cycles, navigate mutual or unreciprocated obsessions, and foster healthier, more fulfilling connections.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy offers a space to address the challenges that can arise in relationships, from communication breakdowns and trust issues to emotional disconnection and recurring conflicts. My approach is unique in that I view the relationship itself as my client: the dynamic space between partners. By focusing on clearing obstacles that exist in this space, I work with couples to strengthen their connection, rebuild trust, and foster mutual understanding.

Using evidence-based methods such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The Gottman Method, I help couples navigate a wide range of issues, including attachment challenges, infidelity, intimacy concerns, and life transitions. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, improve communication, and create a shared vision for your partnership. Whether you’re seeking to resolve conflict, deepen intimacy, or rebuild after a difficult experience, couples therapy provides the tools and guidance to help your relationship thrive.
Relationships
Healthy relationships are essential for a fulfilling life, but they can often feel complicated or challenging. Whether in romantic, familial, professional, or platonic connections, issues such as attachment styles, emotional boundaries, and communication struggles can create barriers to deeper connection. Many of us unconsciously recreate patterns and dynamics from our past that no longer serve us, leading to frustration, conflict, or disconnection.

Relationship therapy focuses on helping you explore the underlying dynamics that influence your interactions. Through this work, we uncover the origins of these patterns, resolve conflicts, and develop tools to build stronger, healthier relationships. Whether you’re looking to improve your connection with a romantic partner, navigate family tensions, create harmony at work, or deepen friendships, I provide a safe, supportive space to guide your journey. Together, we work to foster self-awareness, enhance communication, and create relationships that feel balanced, meaningful, and empowering.
Trauma
Trauma can leave deep emotional, physical, and psychological imprints, often affecting relationships, self-esteem, and overall wellbeing. Whether it stems from childhood experiences, a specific event, or chronic stress, unresolved trauma can manifest as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, or even physical symptoms. Trauma therapy offers a safe and supportive space to process these experiences and reduce their lasting impact.

My approach to trauma healing is integrative and holistic, combining evidence-based methods such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness practices, and somatic techniques. Mindfulness helps you reconnect with the present moment, while somatic approaches address how trauma is stored in the body, enabling you to release tension and regain a sense of safety. Together, we work to process traumatic memories, regulate overwhelming emotions, and rebuild a sense of empowerment and resilience. Whether you’re dealing with post-traumatic stress, relationship challenges rooted in past experiences, or feelings of being stuck, trauma therapy provides the tools to help you heal and move forward.
Parenting Challenges
Parenting is deeply rewarding but often challenging. From managing child behaviour and sibling dynamics to navigating family stress and school transitions, it’s common to feel overwhelmed. Whether you’re facing attachment concerns, discipline struggles, or balancing your own wellbeing alongside your child’s needs, parenting therapy provides tailored support to help.

My approach focuses on strengthening parent-child connections, improving communication, and creating a harmonious home environment. By exploring family dynamics, unspoken expectations, and generational patterns, we address the root causes of conflict and stress. Incorporating mindfulness, attachment theory, and practical strategies, I help you foster resilience and confidence in your parenting journey.
